Birju Patel CEng, MSc, MIET

CEO

Birju is a chartered engineer who has worked in digital construction for 8 years, consisting of forward-thinking approaches in the delivery of projects in the UK, Europe and Middle East. Birju has extensive experience in product development, enabling fast, detailed and cost effective deliveries  of building designs such as WeWork and Dubai Expo 2020.


At OneFusion, Birju is responsible for leading the vision and has a hands on approach to every aspect of the company.





Dogac Akif MEng, MIET

COO

Dogac has a strong history in making calculated decisions under the most extreme circumstances. He has worked as a consulting engineer who has a broad experience in electrical services design in the built environment.


Dogac was involved in landmark projects in the UK and the Middle East which  enabled him to develop strong knowledge and expertise in the construction industry. This has helped him to enhance his project financial and quality management skills.
 

At OneFusion, Dogac is responsible for operating the company worldwide ensuring the company is running smoothly at all times.

Doruk Uzunoglu MSc

CTO

Doruk has worked on a diverse range of machine learning, data science, and software engineering projects across his career. As a machine learning consultant, he focused on developing end-to-end condition monitoring and signal processing solutions for industrial machinery, and received a patent for his condition monitoring work during this time. Doruk then started a new chapter in his career as a data scientist focusing on the real estate market. He has conducted in-depth analyses of the UK real estate market, and implemented algorithms to predict rental revenues of properties. Next step in Doruk’s career has taken him into the realms of e-commerce, where he has developed product recommendation systems and data pipelines that drive crucial decisions within the business. 

 

More recently, the emergence of Web 3.0 and blockchains has piqued Doruk’s interest in decentralised technologies and smart contracts, and he has been leading OneFusion’s efforts of developing decentralised solutions for the construction industry.

Andrew Lambert

Executive Director - Construction Technologies

Andrew Lambert is a highly skilled professional with a proven track record of 40 years in managing complex projects in various environments. He has a strong ability to manage stakeholder expectations and is willing to take full responsibility for the successful delivery of project objectives. Andrew is confident working with technical experts from any industry and is experienced in managing multi-cultural teams.
 
He has set up and established as well as held management positions in offices located in the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, India, Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia. In recent years, he has set up and run a number of PMO and digital transformation projects.

Vishal Patil MSc

Director - Machine Learning


Vishal started with an academic career in the field of Robotics at VJTI, Mumbai, before moving full time to the industry. Vishal was responsible for leading India's first and the world's third commercialized bionic hand for amputees which achieved 95% accuracy using Machine Learning and signal processing, linking the brains neurons to control the hand.


At OneFusion, Vishal is working to add more sustainability factors in to construction using artificial intelligence and machine learning.


Dr Chun Sing Lai CEng,  DPhil, MSc

Research and Development Lead


Chun Sing Lai received the B.Eng. (First Class Hons.) degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Brunel University London, London, U.K., in 2013, and the D.Phil. degree in engineering science from the University of Oxford, Oxford, U.K., in 2019. He is currently an Honorary Visiting Fellow with the School of Automation, Guangdong University of Technology, China, and a Lecturer of Circuits and Devices; the Course Director, M.Sc. Electric Vehicle Systems, with the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Brunel University London, U.K. From 2018 to 2020, he was an U.K. Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Research Fellow with the School of Civil Engineering, University of Leeds, Leeds, U.K.

He is an interdisciplinary researcher with a focus on smart grid and smart city, and his interest includes energy data analytics, energy/power system optimization, techno-economic analysis, and financial/business models for low-carbon energy systems.

Dr. Lai received the Best Paper Award from the IEEE International Smart Cities Conference in October 2020. He was the Publications Co-Chair for both the 2020 and 2021 IEEE International Smart Cities Conferences. He is the Vice-Chair of the IEEE Smart Cities Publications Committee and Associate Editor for IET Energy Conversion and Economics. He is the Working Group Chair for IEEE P2814 and P3166 Standards, the Associate Vice President of the Systems Science and Engineering of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, and the Chair of the IEEE SMC Intelligent Power and Energy Systems Technical Committee. He has contributed to four journal articles that appeared on the Web of Science as Highly Cited Papers, out of which he is the lead author for three of them. He is an IET Member, Chartered Engineer, and IEEE Senior Member.
